Our Demat service is designed for pets with matted or tangled fur. Our groomers carefully work through mats using professional tools and techniques, trimming and brushing to remove tangles without causing discomfort. The service includes an exfoliating bath that helps loosen mats and condition the coat, making it easier to manage. We take a gentle, patient approach to dematting, prioritizing your pet's comfort throughout the process. This service is especially beneficial for long-haired breeds or pets who haven't been groomed in a while. Matting occurs when loose fur tangles and compresses close to the skin, trapping moisture and creating an environment for skin irritation. Left untreated, severe matting can cause pain, restrict movement, and lead to skin infections. Our groomers assess the severity of matting before beginning and will discuss the best approach with you — whether that's careful brush-out, strategic trimming, or in severe cases, a fresh-start clip. We always prioritize your pet's comfort and skin health over preserving coat length.
